Collection: Scabies

What is Scabies?

Scabies is a highly contagious skin condition caused by a microscopic mite called Sarcoptes scabiei. These mites burrow into the skin, laying eggs and causing intense itching, rashes, and inflammation. Scabies spreads through close personal contact, shared clothing, or bedding and is common in crowded environments.

Although not life-threatening, scabies can be extremely uncomfortable and, if left untreated, can lead to secondary skin infections from scratching.

Symptoms of Scabies

  1. Intense itching, especially at night
  2. Red bumps, rashes, or blisters (often in webs of fingers, wrists, waist, and underarms)
  3. Thin, wavy lines on the skin (burrows made by mites)
  4. Sores from scratching
  5. Crusted or scaly skin (in more severe or long-term cases)

Natural Ways to Manage & Prevent Scabies

  1. Wash all clothing, bedding, and towels in hot water – Mites can survive on fabrics for several days.
  2. Avoid skin-to-skin contact until fully treated – To prevent spreading to others.
  3. Use CelluClear Spray several times daily – Especially on affected areas for relief and disinfection.
  4. Vacuum and sanitize your living space – Mites may hide in upholstery or carpets.
  5. Wear breathable, loose-fitting clothing – To reduce irritation and scratching.
  6. Trim nails and avoid scratching – To prevent skin damage and bacterial infection.
  7. Support your immune system – A healthy immune response helps your body eliminate the infestation faster.

Note: Scabies can take time to resolve fully, and itching may continue even after mites are gone. Natural remedies are effective when used consistently, but if symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.
